This afternoon, Singtel announced their plans to offer free, unlimited local data on 1 May (next Friday) to all Singtel Mobile Postpaid customers. No, they weren’t struck by sudden inspiration to do good on Labour Day, although that might have been a factor in their choice of date — it’s an apology for the mobile data service disruption that occurred on Wednesday, leaving users stranded without 3G and 4G for more than five hours.
